Darcy Parker Bruce is a graduate of the MFA Playwriting program at Smith College. Their plays have received over twenty productions in theaters across the United States and in Australia. Their most recent commission, To The Moon And Back, opened at Chester Theater Company in August of 2022. The current Writer in Residence at Interlochen Center for the Arts, they have previously received a Lambda Literary Fellowship, the Judith Royer Award for Excellence in Playwriting, a Tennessee Williams Scholarship with the Sewanee Writers' Conference, and an NEA Big Read Grant with the University of Central Florida, and have appeared on the Kilroy's List, among other honors. Their play Always Plenty of Light at the Starlight All Night Diner was recently published with Broadway Play Publishing and their four-play cycle about small towns, queers, and the concept of American glory, The Piedmont Plays, is forthcoming from the same press.
