Darcy Parker Bruce is a graduate of the MFA Playwriting program at Smith College. Their plays have received productions across the country and recently, Australia, Ireland, and Germany! Their most recent commission, To The Moon And Back, opened at Chester Theater Company in August of 2022. They have previously received a Lambda Literary Fellowship, the Judith Royer Award for Excellence in Playwriting, a Tennessee Williams Scholarship with the Sewanee Writers' Conference, and an NEA Big Read Grant with the University of Central Florida, among other honors. Their play Always Plenty of Light at the Starlight All Night Diner was recently published with Broadway Play Publishing and their four-play cycle about small towns, queers, and American glory, The Piedmont Plays, is forthcoming from the same press.
